What is a ratchet tie down?
How do you use it?
Ratchet tie downs have been used for many years to secure all shapes and sizes of cargo. Because the strap is strong and flexible it will conform to any shape to provide a strong, complete grip.

It is very important not to bind the ratchet !!
Pull the strap though the ratchet axle leaving only about 2 inches.

After you have only 2 inches of slack work the ratchet handle to get a strong complete grip.
Leave 2 inches
of slack.
How to release the ratchet.
First -- Open the ratchet like this.
Next -- I want to show you the release bar.
This is the release bar.
Squeeze it to the handle as you open the ratchet as in the next picture.
Squeeze the release bar as you open the handle all the way.
The strap should pull free from the axle now.
